  1. Annu Tara,

You have become encyclopedia of Apatani. Beautiful job. For a Apatani serious blogger it is a wonderful site. Do try add more. I am forester by profession with agriculture educationa back ground but many of them are new to me and frankly I am unable identify them and their name.
I am not sure whether 'Uyi subu' is wild yak or wild buffalo or Gaur/Indian gaur (Bos gaurus). Please confirm.
    Siichu : Antelope?
Siirchu might be having branched antler. One in photo may not be siichur because its antler is not branched rather twisted. in wildlife parlance there are seven types of deer in India. I think in Apatani even "Sambar" is also called 'siiding'.The Brow-antlered Deer (Cervus eldi) of Manipur (northeast India), or Sangai, or Thamin may also be called a 'siirchu' even the male sambar may be called siirchu.
    Please confirm.

    Well done. Keep it up.

    Yours
    Aaku
